Individualized Home Supports (IHS) give you the informal guidance, training, and help you need to live on your own, with a roommate, or with family. Staff work with you to create a program that’s tailored to your needs. So you can gain independence as you work toward your goals.
You can receive IHS in your own home, your family’s home, or in public places. Support can be provided in person or remotely.
IHS considers training and support two different things. Support is considered guidance, instruction, assistance with activities of daily living. Training is considered building skills to improve the person’s life in the community.

If you’re not sure when you may need support, you can get on-call services. This means you can call in whenever you need some extra support. Harry Meyering Center staff are ready and able to help you.
Our team has extensive background in financial management and human services. This means that we have the know-how to help you with everything from finances and medical assistance to social skills.
We’re staffed by people that use the services. We understand in a way that other people don’t, because we’re walking through the process ourselves.
